Founded in 2001 and located on West 21st Street in Chelsea, the gallery works closely with artists, estates, and institutional partners to produce exhibitions, publications, and public programs of scholarly depth. It has played a formative role in elevating Korean Dansaekhwa on the global stage — championing Ha Chong-Hyun, Kim Tschang-Yeul, and Lee ShinJa — alongside diasporic figures such as Pacita Abad and Kim Lim, and contemporary artists including Mire Lee and Maia Ruth Lee.
