For 30 years, Boesky Gallery has championed visionary voices in contemporary art. Marianne Boesky founded her eponymous gallery in 1996, presenting early solo exhibitions with Lisa Yuskavage, Polly Apfelbaum, and Diti Almog; by 1998 Sarah Sze, Yoshitomo Nara, and Takashi Murakami had joined the roster. From its inception the gallery's mission has been to support artists' developing practices while cultivating meaningful, long-term relationships — a commitment it maintains today from its two adjoining Chelsea buildings on West 24th Street and a seasonal space in Aspen, representing an intergenerational roster that includes Frank Stella's estate, Ghada Amer, and Sanford Biggers.
