PPOW
P·P·O·W was founded by Wendy Olsoff and Penny Pilkington in the first wave of the East Village art galleries in 1983. The gallery moved to SoHo in 1988, Chelsea in 2002, and Tribeca in 2021. Since its inception it has remained true to its early vision, showing contemporary work in all media with a commitment to pioneering artists and new generations exploring gender, sexuality, race, and social inequality — it represents the estates of David Wojnarowicz and Martin Wong alongside Carolee Schneemann's legacy and contemporary figures such as Robin F. Williams and Anna Park.
