Nicola Vassell Gallery
Nicola Vassell Gallery is a Chelsea gallery founded in 2021, dedicated to expanding the canon with a program spanning contemporary art of the African diaspora and beyond. Founded by the Jamaican-born former director at Deitch Projects and Pace, the gallery was among the first Black-woman-owned galleries in Chelsea's main corridor; its Tenth Avenue space has presented Ming Smith, Uman, Che Lovelace, and Alteronce Gumby, pairing exhibitions with an active discursive program of talks and publications.
