Lightness of Form

Lightness of Form presents work by British designer Terence Woodgate, shown in New York for the first time. Developed in close dialogue with pioneering Formula 1 engineer John Barnard, the focused selection — Carbon Chair, Chaise Longue and Wedge Desk — is a study in balance where structural innovation meets sculptural clarity.

The Chaise Longue translates ergonomic function into a continuous line, carbon fibre letting the structure flex while holding its integrity; the Wedge Desk answers with a tapering, architectural geometry that cuts through space while keeping visual lightness. Across all three works carbon fibre is both a display of technology and the means to minimal, highly resolved form.
